About Keystone A London-based MSP that picks up the phone
When London businesses search for IT services, they usually have one of three problems. They're growing and their patchwork of one-person IT support isn't scaling. They've outgrown their current provider: slow response times, surprise invoices, work that gets done but doesn't get explained. Or they're starting from scratch and want one partner who can stand up everything from email to phones to security without juggling six vendors.
Keystone Technologies has been delivering IT services in London, Ontario for over 30 years. We work with small and medium-sized businesses across Southwestern Ontario in professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, legal, and financial services. Our team is local. When you call, a real person answers, and when something needs to be on-site, we're already in town.
What working with us actually looks like day-to-day: a help desk that responds in minutes, not days. A dedicated account manager who knows your environment by name, not by ticket number. Quarterly business reviews where we explain what we did, what's coming up, and what we recommend. Monthly invoices with no surprises. And the discipline to say "you don't need that" when a flashier vendor would have sold it to you.
We're not the cheapest IT provider in London, and we're not trying to be. We're the team you call when "IT just works" is more important than the line item on the budget.
FAQ Common questions
What's the difference between an MSP and just having an IT person?
An MSP (Managed Service Provider) is a team of specialists with overlapping coverage, ongoing monitoring tools, and documented processes. A single IT person is one human with one calendar: when they're sick, on vacation, or focused on a project, your support coverage goes with them. For most SMBs in the 10–100 employee range, an MSP costs about the same as a junior internal hire and delivers significantly more capability.
Are you cheaper than hiring in-house IT?
For most small businesses, yes, but more importantly, we're cheaper than the cost of NOT having proper IT support. A reasonable comparison: a junior IT person costs $60–$80K per year fully loaded; a senior systems administrator $100–$130K. Our managed IT services for a similar-sized business typically run $1,500–$5,000 per month, and we cover the whole stack (networking, security, cloud, phones, vendor management), not just whatever the one hire happens to know.
How fast can you respond when something breaks?
Most critical issues are responded to within 15 minutes during business hours, with active resolution starting immediately. Non-critical tickets are typically resolved within 4 hours. After-hours support is included for outages and security incidents on most plans.
Do we sign a long-term contract?
Our managed IT agreements are month-to-month after the first three months. We don't believe in locking clients into multi-year deals. If we're not delivering value, you should be able to leave without a penalty clause. This keeps us honest.
We're already with another MSP. Should we switch?
That's the wrong first question. The right first question is "is our current provider delivering what we'd expect, given what we're paying?" Many of our new clients started with an independent IT assessment from us, no obligation to switch, which gave them an honest read on their current situation. Some chose to stay with their provider with a clearer ask. Others chose to switch. Both are good outcomes.
