Baseball diamonds in London

The directory at a glance

Counts describe the captured inventory, not today’s available places. Several records can belong to one park. Public service pages may use newer names, different entrances or a different count. Those differences are explained where known.

Match the diamond to the team

A neighbourhood diamond, a regulation field and a stadium are different settings. Use the recorded subtype as a starting point. The inventory does not provide a complete current field-dimension plan, mound setup, accessible seating plan or booking calendar.

Before booking for baseball or softball, give the City the sport, age group and level. Ask about bases, pitching distance, fencing, lights and any field preparation. A larger park address may serve several diamonds, so include the exact diamond label on the team notice.

Booking, lighting and tournament needs

Use City sports allocations for seasonal availability and recreation rentals for the applicable booking process. State whether the request is a practice, regular game or tournament. Ask which services the quote includes rather than assuming lights or maintenance are automatic.

For a tournament, plan for spectator access, toilets, weather changes and the space needed between games. Food sales, music, temporary structures or exclusive park use can need separate arrangements. Keep the approved contract with the on-site organizer.

Rain-outs and closed diamonds

The wet-field policy covers diamonds as well as soccer pitches. A City closure means the booked diamond must not be used. For a City-closed seasonal booking, the policy provides a credit on the user group’s account.

A team cancellation and a City closure are not necessarily the same thing under a rental contract. Keep the cancellation message and booking details. Ask the organizer how any credit or replacement game will be handled.
