Load fees and purchases

Renovation loads are assessed by the attendant and larger volumes can cost more. Only debit or credit is accepted for renovation disposal. The depots do not charge these loads by tonne.

Composters and digesters cost $20 including tax, subject to availability. Woodchips, compost and soil/compost mix cost $6.50 per 30-litre bag and are not sold at W 12 A. Garbage tags cost $2, do not expire and are not refundable.

Refrigerant-appliance fees on the depot and landfill pages are marked coming soon and differ between pages. Do not treat either proposed fee as an active charge; confirm with the destination before taking a fridge or air conditioner.

Hazardous products and who can use the service

The dedicated service accepts products such as bleach, drain and oven cleaners, paint, solvents, gasoline, oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals, pesticides, batteries and fluorescent bulbs. Propane cylinders and fats, oils and grease can also be taken to EnviroDepots. Empty oil and antifreeze containers at ordinary depots must contain no liquid.

Residential special waste is free for London and Middlesex County residents. The W 12 A page includes First Nations communities in that catchment. Qualifying small-quantity businesses in London and Middlesex can use an exemption form: up to 5 kg per month/60 kg per year for special products and 25 kg per month/300 kg per year for liquid industrial waste. Contact service@london.ca for the form. Larger business quantities need a private contractor.

Service areas and location checks

W 12 A’s ordinary landfill catchment differs from its special-waste catchment. The landfill page names London and Thames Centre for general waste, with specific additional sources. Do not assume a Middlesex resident’s free hazardous-waste eligibility covers ordinary garbage disposal.

The current city pages verified materials and street addresses but did not expose a complete current hours table in their text. Use the live destination schedule before travelling. The addresses below come from the current city list; they are not evidence that every site accepts every item.
