The City’s service list and its asset inventory are different records. This directory retains all inventory spray-pad entries, including Springbank, and uses current service-page addresses where they differ. A listed asset is not evidence that it is operating.
Ordinary City spray pads are free and unsupervised. The service page gives typical summer hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; those hours do not apply during seasonal closure.

The City has separate wading-pool supervision rules. Confirm the actual entrance and reopening date. The inventory may use a park’s address, such as Silverwoods, rather than the pool service entrance.

Child supervision and swim tests
Children 12 and under receive an orange wristband and need direct in-water supervision by someone aged 13 or older, staying in the designated shallow area. The listed ratio is one supervisor to two children without lifejackets, or one to four with them.
Passing the lifeguard’s swim test changes the wristband and supervision arrangements. It is not permission to leave a child alone at the facility. Wading pools have separate rules, so confirm your group’s ages, swimming ability and supervision needs before paying.

- Use Play Your Way to choose a facility and the right session type.
- Check the date, registration status, capacity and price. A building being open does not mean a public swim is running.

Swimming and water-play questions
Are spray pads open in October?
The City lists outdoor water facilities as closed for the season as checked October 13, 2026. Typical summer hours are not current opening hours.
Is every pool visit the same price as a lesson?
No. The admission table covers eligible drop-in visits and passes. Registered swimming lessons have separate program prices.
Are London spray pads free?
Ordinary City spray pads are free and unsupervised. They operate seasonally, so summer hours do not mean a site is open now. Use the current water-facility notice for opening dates and closures.
How do I find a public swim rather than a swimming lesson?
Search Play Your Way for the specific facility and session type. Check the date, admission price, capacity and registration rules. An open pool building does not mean a public swim is running at that time.
Does a City swim pass include YMCA pools at shared centres?
Do not assume it does. YMCA facilities have their own memberships, prices and schedules. Confirm who operates the pool and which pass or payment applies before booking a visit.
Can a child’s swim ability change the supervision arrangement?
The City uses a lifeguard swim test and wristband system. Passing the test changes the applicable arrangements, but does not mean a child can be left alone at the facility. Confirm the rules for the child’s age and session.
How do I find a pool with the access equipment I need?
Contact the exact facility about its lift, ramp, change table and support-person arrangements. Explain the whole route and activity you need, then confirm the equipment is available for your visit.
Why can a pool entrance differ from its park address?
The asset inventory can use the wider park address. This guide uses City pool service addresses where they differ, including 585 Bradley Avenue for South London. Use the pool’s visitor directions for arrival.
How do I choose the right swimming lesson level?
Use the placement requirements in the actual lesson listing for the participant. Confirm the level, age requirements and session dates before registering. A public-swim admission or a pool address does not establish a place in the correct lesson.
Who can help with a City swimming registration?
Contact Recreation Customer Service at 519-661-5575 or recreation@london.ca. Have the facility, participant and session details ready. Registration support and a facility’s access-equipment enquiry may need separate conversations.
