Gibraltar Market

1712 Dundas Street, London

Gibraltar Market combines food sellers, grocery businesses, retail shops and other small businesses on Dundas Street. It is a multi-merchant market rather than a single farm stall.

Opening arrangements differ by vendor. Check the actual merchant’s current hours and contact it about stock or a particular purchase. The market’s name does not mean every shop operates only at the weekend.

Trails End Farmers’ Market

4370 Dundas Street, Thorndale postal address, east of London

Trails End is a regional market east of London, using a Thorndale postal address. It has food and other vendors with a full Saturday market and a smaller Sunday produce service.

The operator lists Saturday hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday produce-only hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Confirm a specific seller before travelling. This is a nearby regional destination, rather than an in-city London market.

Harvest Bucks can buy the eligible foods named by the Health Unit, including fresh fruit, vegetables, whole graded eggs and dried beans. They are not a general voucher for everything a market sells.

Individuals cannot apply for program funding directly. Ask a participating community or emergency-food program whether it distributes vouchers and how eligibility works. The source also lists regional redemption sites in Ilderton, Komoka and Ailsa Craig; those are outside this London list.

Indoor merchants, farmers’ markets and events

Find the right market session
  1. Choose the market

Use the actual market building and address.

  2. Choose the format

Indoor shops, outdoor growers or an event.

  3. Check the day

Use that session’s hours and vendor list.

At Covent Garden, indoor merchant hours and the weekly outdoor farmers’ market are separate. Do not use the indoor closing time to decide when an outdoor grower will be there. The current home page lists the indoor market as open six days, with Monday closed.

At Western Fair, the regular market runs on Saturday and Sunday. A fair, trade show or special event elsewhere in the district is a different visit, with its own entrance and possible ticket. Use the market’s 900 King Street address rather than assuming every district activity uses the same building.

Find the current sellers rather than an old vendor list

Market merchants change and individual shops can have different operating hours. Use the official live directories for food categories, producer names and shop contacts. These are more useful for a specific purchase than a frozen list of stalls copied into this guide.

Covent Garden’s site groups fresh and bulk foods, prepared meals, bakeries, cafés, retail and services. Western Fair’s directory covers food sellers and the upstairs artisans. Contact the actual merchant about a product, allergen or special order. A market operator cannot confirm every seller’s stock.

Parking, transport and access

Western Fair’s market page lists free Saturday and Sunday parking. Covent Garden has an underground garage with its own free-parking conditions and time limits. Do not assume that free market entry means parking is free for an unlimited stay.

For an access need, ask which entrance, lift and floor serve the seller you want. At a busy outdoor event, stall spacing and routes can differ from the ordinary indoor layout. The Google Maps links help find the building; they do not certify a step-free entrance.

A practical food-shopping plan

Prepare for the purchase you need
NeedWhat to do
A particular grower or productCheck the current seller directory and contact the seller
Food allergiesAsk the person making or selling the food about ingredients and handling
Cold or frozen foodPlan a suitable bag and a short trip home
PaymentAsk the seller which methods they accept
Large orderArrange it with the merchant before travelling
A holiday visitCheck holiday hours for the building and the individual seller

A farmers’ market name does not mean every product was grown within London or that all stalls are producers. Ask the seller where a product comes from if that matters to your choice. Keep prices and availability tied to the seller’s current offer.

Other food shops and temporary markets

This page covers three year-round London market buildings and the nearby Trails End market. Farm shops, neighbourhood pop-ups and holiday craft markets are separate categories. They should be added with an operator, address, actual dates and clear local or regional coverage.

Tourism London’s shopping directory is a useful discovery source. Event dates should be checked against the organizer before being added to the city’s events calendar. A previous year’s seasonal list is not evidence that an event runs again this year.

Market questions

Is Covent Garden Market open on Monday?

The current market home page lists Monday as closed. Indoor hours, outdoor market sessions and events are separate schedules.

Source: Covent Garden Market hours, merchants and visitor information

Does Western Fair’s market open during the week?

The regular market page lists Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other district events have separate dates.

Source: The Market at Western Fair District

Are Covent Garden’s indoor hours the same as its outdoor farmers’ market?

No. Indoor merchants and the outdoor farmers’ market have separate schedules. Use the listing for the part you want to visit. The indoor closing time does not tell you when outdoor growers will be there.

Source: Covent Garden Market hours, merchants and visitor information

Is a Western Fair event ticket the same as a market visit?

No. The regular weekend market at 900 King Street is different from fairs, trade shows and other district events. A special event can have its own building, entrance and ticket requirements.

Source: The Market at Western Fair District

Where can I find the current sellers at a London market?

Use the market’s live merchant directory. Sellers and individual shop hours can change. Contact the specific merchant for stock, allergens or a special order rather than relying on an older copied stall list.

Can Harvest Bucks buy everything sold at a market?

No. The Health Unit names eligible food categories, including fresh fruit, vegetables, whole graded eggs and dried beans. A market accepting the vouchers does not make every product eligible.

Source: Health Unit 2026 Harvest Bucks redemption locations

Can an individual apply directly for Harvest Bucks funding?

The Health Unit says individuals cannot apply directly for program funding. Ask a participating community or emergency-food program whether it distributes vouchers and how its eligibility works.

Source: Health Unit 2026 Harvest Bucks redemption locations

Does free market admission mean unlimited free parking?

No. Western Fair lists free weekend market parking, while Covent Garden’s garage has its own conditions and time limits. Check the exact parking arrangement rather than assuming the entrance price covers a long stay.

Source: Covent Garden Market hours, merchants and visitor information

Does a farmers’ market name mean every product is grown in London?

No. Ask the seller where the product comes from if that matters to you. Markets can have producers, resellers and prepared-food businesses. Keep any origin or price claim tied to that seller’s current information.

Source: Covent Garden Market hours, merchants and visitor information

Does the market map identify a step-free entrance to every seller?

No. It helps find the building. Ask about the entrance, lift, floor and route to the merchant you want. Outdoor event layouts can differ from the ordinary indoor arrangement.
